Are you a passionate dog trainer or behavior consultant looking to join a like-minded team of positive reinforcement professionals? We’d love to hear from you! Clickstart is always looking for opportunities to add talented force-free trainers to our team.

  • Our Trainers are responsible for:

    • Conducting one-on-one private coaching sessions and creating individualized training plans that align with Clickstart’s curriculum and philosophy

    • Teaching group classes with confidence and enthusiasm

    • Communicating with clients in a supportive and judgement-free way

    • Demonstrating excellent leash handling and clicker mechanics while modeling safe and humane training techniques

    • Keeping accurate training notes and corresponding with clients via phone, email, or text efficiently

    • Helping to create a welcoming, community centered atmosphere for people and their dogs

  • We are looking for individuals with:

    • 2+ years of professional dog training experience using positive reinforcement-based techniques

    • One or more of the following certifications: KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA, CBCC-KA, CDBC, VSA

    • Professional references

    • Strong understanding of canine body language and learning theory

    • Confidence teaching group classes, private sessions, and day training lessons

    • Passion for working with both the human and canine ends of the leash

    • Excellent communication and customer service

    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with a positive attitude

    • Availability to regularly work 4-5 days per week between the hours of 9am and 8pm including at least one weekend day.

    Extra credit:

    • Experience teaching agility, nosework, canine fitness, or other speciality topics

    • Knowledge of social media or other marketing techniques

    • Advanced retail or sales experience

    • A talent for writing blogs, designing unique training classes, or giving professional presentations, webinars and seminars

    • Competitive wages: $20-25 per hour depending on experience. Opportunities for advancement are available. 

    • Full time: 30-40 hours per week

    • Mileage reimbursements: 72.5¢ per mile 

    • Insurance package: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance available for full-time employees with employer contribution

    • Retirement Savings: IRA account with 2% employer contributions

Dog Trainer


  • The position of Behavior Consultant is the same as our Dog Trainers plus the ability to take on more complex cases including reactivity, aggression, phobias, and general anxiety.

  • We are looking for individuals with:

    • 4+ years of professional dog training experience using positive reinforcement-based methodologies

    • 2+ years of working through cases involving reactivity, aggression, phobias, and general anxiety.

    • One or more of the following certifications: CBCC-KA, CDBC (in addition to dog trainer certifications)

    • Professional references

    • Strong understanding of canine body language, learning theory, and classical conditioning

    • Confidence teaching group classes, private sessions and day training lessons

    • A skill for coaching via Zoom

    • Passion for working with both the human and canine ends of the leash

    • Excellent communication skills and customer service

    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with a positive attitude

    • Available to regularly work 4-5 days per week between the hours of 9am and 8pm including at least one weekend day.

    Extra credit:

    • Separation Anxiety Certification

    • Experience with resource guarding or other specific types of aggression

    • A talent for writing blogs, designing unique training classes, or giving professional presentations, webinars and seminars

    • Competitive wages: $25-30 per hour depending on experience. Opportunities for advancement are available. 

    • Full time: 30-40 hours per week
